Group Therapies

Most of our activities are held in group settings. This form of psychotherapy is adopted worldwide increasingly.   The effectiveness of group interventions has produced clear expectations. Living in a group provides a chance for the interplay of diverse healing factors such as promoting sense of belonging, developing social skills, providing emotional support and  dealing with conflicts and differences.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

It is a common conviction that our feelings are the stirring energy behind our thoughts and actions. CBT is a goal-oriented form of therapy that directs us towards the recognition of the influential link between our thoughts, emotions and actions. This, in turn, gives us a higher degree of self-understanding and better control of our psychological states. In Diwan, CBT is used in individual therapy as well as group settings.

Here-and-Now

Noticing what we experience in the present moment and how we interact with each other creates an opportunity to understand and witness positive changes in our behaviour and attitudes. This gives us a chance for putting closure on our painful past experiences and moving on.

Support Groups

In a support group individuals with similar problems come together to receive and offer emotional support from their peers and therapists. Support groups provide an environment that encourages listening to and accepting the experiences and feelings of others.  Added to the positive group orientation, the sympathetic understanding that abounds in such situations enables people to open up, share and develop psychologically.
