The workshops are usually conducted in group settings. The number of clients per session ranges from four to fifteen clients from different backgrounds, all aiming to move their lives forwards and overcome obstacles to their growth and progress.

Our mission includes offering life-skills to clients with mild-to-moderate challenges – not necessarily mental illnesses. DPC was one of the pioneers in tailoring a group of courses and workshops (varying in number of sessions, hours and content) on topics such as: stress-management, anger management, meditation and relaxation, self-esteem enhancement and communication skills.
This area of our work applies the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy along with a set of applications and simplified group therapy tools, rendering our clients’ experience both enriching and healing.

Relaxation and Meditation
By the end of this course, you will have learned:
- Simple relaxation techniques (such as progressive muscle relaxation)
- Various types of meditation (reading meditation, candle meditation …..etc)
Targeted Clients:
- Individuals who easily get nervous and irritable.
- Individuals unable to cope with life stressors
- Individuals suffering from physical symptoms of stress (headache, migraine, muscle tension).
- Individuals suffering from anxieties/phobias.


Self-Esteem Enhancement
By the end of this course, you will have learned:
- The roots of our self-esteem.
- Tracing and redirecting our negative thoughts.
- Increasing our self-confidence and self-assertion.
Targeted Clients:
- Individuals with low self-esteem.
- Individuals suffering from depression/OCD/anxiety resulting from self-esteem issues.
- Individuals with low/no self-assertion.
Anger Management
By the end of this course, you will have learned:
- What are the types of anger?
- How is anger connected to our thoughts and emotions?
- How can we control our anger using long and short term techniques?
- What is stress-induced anger and how can we manage it?
- How does anger affect our personal relationships?
Targeted Clients:
- Individuals who get easily irritated.
- Individuals with anger problems or rage.
- Individuals in contact with easily provoked people.


Communication Skills
By the end of this course, you will have learned:
- How do we communicate?
- How does body language contribute to our communication?
- What causes miscommunication?
- What are effective techniques to initiate and maintain conversations?
- How can we improve our listening skills?
- How is our communication influenced by our self-confidence, self-esteem and self-assertion?
- How can we maintain effective communication at times of stress and difficult situations?
